Black Dog Institute 

The Black Dog Institute was founded in 2002 and is internationally recognised as a pioneer in the identification, prevention and treatment of mental illness, and the promotion of wellbeing.

They work directly in all parts of the community as well as guiding the development of new and improved policy. The Black Dog Institute place focus on those with specific mental health needs like young people, Indigenous communities, men, and high-risk workforces.

Primary areas of mental health research and treatment include: depression, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, workplace mental health, adolescents and young people, suicide prevention, e-mental health, and positive psychology and wellbeing.


Youth/ Adolescents   

Youth Central- Youth Central is the Victorian Government’s website for young people aged 12-25, filled to overflowing with great information about life from every angle, including: Studying and getting a job, moving out of home, getting a drivers licence, managing your own money and rights as a young Victorian Just to name a few….

Providing access and support with building relevant, necessary life skills required from adolescents through to emerging adulthood.
