Biography
Elwyn graduated from Charles Darwin University in 2023 with a Bachelor of Health Science and master’s in occupational therapy following her completion of a Bachelor of Science degree at Monash University where she majored in Physiology and minored in Developmental Biology. Elwyn has firsthand experience caring for disability and illness within her own family. Her unique perspective on the impact of disability on clients and their families enable Elwyn to advocate and provide therapeutic care to support client outcomes. Her vibrant and easy-going personality means she is approachable and engaging whilst providing thoughtful and person – family centred care. Elwyn has a deep passion for paediatric care, and firmly believes that the key to early interventions is to work together with families to achieve meaningful goals. Elwyn’s goal is to empower her paediatric clients and families to build upon wellbeing and enable participation in everyday activities.
Elwyn has a keen interest in feeding, oral care, and developmental delays. Elwyn has been in the healthcare field for over 7 years and has engaged a variety of roles, building experience across hospital, private and community health sectors. Further, Elwyn is an alumni member for ‘Western Chances’ and the ‘Dual Identity Leadership Program’ supporting youths to recognise their potential and overcome barriers to fulfill their dreams. Outside of her life in occupational therapy, Elwyn values spending time with family and friends.
