Biography
Brittany is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist and is a member of Speech Pathology Australia. Brittany completed her Masters in Speech Pathology from the University of Melbourne in 2022.Previously she worked in Hong Kong mainstream schools supporting primary and high school students with special needs. Brittany enjoys working with teenagers and adults. Her clinical interests include social communication, mental health, acquired speech and language disorders (i.e., post stroke aphasia, motor speech disorders). She is passionate about helping clients feel confident in building relationships and connecting with the community through exploring communication. Brittany puts inclusive practice on the forefront of her care. She believes in person-centred care where therapy should respect a persons background and be adapted to their preferences.
Brittany is continually developing her ability to support clients from a diverse background. She has experience working with clients with differing neurotypes, from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and from the LGBTQIA+ community. In her free time, Brittany enjoys language-learning, playing the ukulele, listening to podcasts and socialising with friends.
Brittany speaks 5 languages – English, Cantonese, Mandarin, Spanish and Portuguese she is always ecstatic to speak with clients in different languages.
