Biography

Georgie is in her final year at Latrobe University completing a Bachelor in Occupational Therapy. Georgie is an Occupational Therapy Assistant that spends time with our clients in their homes and community reinforcing the transference and generalisation of skills learnt within OT and client set goals within therapy. Georgie enjoys seeing the gradual development in skillsets of clients as they achieve their goals by conducting practical skills sessions in the community and at home whilst building rapport through discussing shared interests and experiences.

an interest in incorporating the natural environment into therapy and involving animals such as pets wherever I can during sessions whilst working on functional tasks and skills development.

completed placements in the acute hospital setting as well as in community mental health setting through La Trobe University to expand upon my skills and experience working within different sectors.

I currently like to spend time working in the sensory spaces at major sporting venues in Melbourne such as the MCG, John Cain Arena and Marvel Stadium to assist others with sensory challenges in enjoying concerts and sporting games as much as I do (go Vixens!).

Working in the Occupational Therapy field as an assistant allows me to have unique opportunities to connect with clients through meaningful occupations in so many diverse environments.
