Biography

Leanne joined Living Without Boundaries in October 2023 bringing with her a wealth of knowledge and experience having worked within Child & Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in Ireland. Leanne has since built upon her experience to encompass adults and is working within clinic and community- based settings. Leanne’s keen interest in health and wellbeing led her to work in the child and adolescent community mental health services in Ireland for those with moderate to severe mental health disorders. She has worked different areas throughout her training including intellectual disability, hand therapy, adults with physical disabilities and inpatient and community mental health services.  Since joining the team at Living Without Boundaries Leanne has expanded her clinical experience to encompass people across ages with various conditions, including neurodevelopmental disorders and physical disabilities. 

Leanne approach therapy with an intention of giving clients and families education to empower them and guide them to achieve goals that are meaningful to them in a realistic manner with some fun added in along the way. Outside of work, Leanne enjoy’ s experiencing all that Australia has to offer, especially when she gets to see a kangaroo!  When she’s not exploring, you can usually find her playing guitar, meeting with friends or being out in nature.

Healthcare Assistant in community with KarePlus – Attending to service users in their own home – providing person-centred care to enable

older persons to become independent in their daily activities.

Quality Control Technician with TTM Healthcare – Involved in a quality control team for Assessment of Need assessments for children and

adolescents.

The Inclusion Project – Supporting Social Inclusion and the facilitation of sensory spaces within sporting venues across Melbourne including the MCG, Marvel Stadium, John Cain Arena, Olympic Park during the Australian Open.
